Multiplication quiz practice: review the facts that still wobble
Running every table the night before makes the evening miserable. It also tends to skip the three facts that go blank on test day, because those were mixed in with dozens your child already knows.
The week before the quiz
Short sessions Monday through Thursday put the almost-known facts in front of your child. That is usually what the quiz is about to expose.
Leave the home practice untimed if timed tests already make your child anxious. You need 7 × 8 back, not a second test.
After the quiz
The missed facts are the next few days of reviews. Keep the five minutes going after the test date so the result turns into recall that is still there in the next unit.
What TimesOwl does
The week before a quiz can stay the usual five minutes in TimesOwl. Wobbly facts come up because they are due.
